About Hardware

Hardware is available on any package.

Some homes have a router capable of everything we need. Many don't. If an upgrade would help, we'll tell you during the free consult — and sell to you the same way we buy.

Assessment first, recommendation second

Your free consultation includes a look at your existing gear. If it can do the job, no new hardware needed. If it can't, we'll show you 2–3 options at different price points.

Always at cost, no markup

We sell hardware at cost. You can also buy directly from the vendor if you prefer. We make our money on install and training — the work you actually need from us.

Typical ranges

Family-friendly routers with built-in controls (Eero, Gryphon, Synology): $150–$400. Dedicated firewalls (Firewalla Purple / Gold): $400–$900. Most OKC homes don't need the top tier.

Install labor

On Starter Shield & Family Shield, hardware install is a $99 add-on. Guardian Plus includes the install at no extra labor cost.

New Device Setup

New phone, tablet, or laptop? We configure it to match the protections already on your family's other devices.

Teen Talk Session

$149

Us + you + your teen, with consent. A calm conversation about online risks, what's being filtered and why, and what's expected. Works best with 13–17-year-olds.

Family Password Manager

Smart-Home Security Audit

Cameras, smart locks, Alexa/Google Home, baby monitors, smart TVs. We lock down defaults, change admin credentials, and isolate IoT from your main network.

Incident Response

$149 / hour (1-hr minimum)

How an install actually goes

    Free Consult (45 min)

    At your home or on video. We look at your gear, talk about your kids' ages, the apps they use, and any specific worries. You get an honest recommendation with a written quote.

  2. 2

    Install Visit (2–3 hr)

    Usually a Saturday morning. We bring a checklist so nothing gets missed, snapshot your existing settings in case we need to roll back, and do the technical work while you go about your day.

  3. 3

    Training + Handoff

    We sit at the kitchen table, walk you through every setting we changed, show you the admin tools, and hand over a one-page PDF you can keep. You ask questions until you're confident.
